Mark W. Mueller
IPC ChairMark W. Mueller is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He received his doctorate in 2015 from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and his Bachelors in Engineering at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He works on autonomy in flight, especially uncrewed aerial vehicles.
Gustaf Gous
IPC Vice-Chair CCAGustaf Gous is a South African process control engineer and director at Analyte, with extensive experience in industrial automation, advanced regulatory control, and model predictive control. He holds a PhD in engineering and specialises in developing innovative control strategies that improve process stability, efficiency, and performance across process industries.
Edo Abraham
IPC Vice-Chair CCAEdo Abraham is Associate Professor and Head of the Water Systems Engineering Section at TU Delft (MEng, PhD Imperial College London). His research develops model predictive control and optimisation tools for water and energy systems planning and control under uncertainty, including power-grid flexibility and long-term energy planning with grid storage.
Yuri A. W. Shardt
IPC Vice-Chair MMMYuri A. W. Shardt is currently professor and chair of the Department of Automation Engineering at the Technical University of Ilmenau (Germany). He has written over 90 journal papers and 2 books. His first book called Statistics for Chemical and Process Engineers: A Modern Approach has been translated into German and become a bestseller with over 100,000 downloads. He is also an associate editor for the journal ISA Transactions. His research interests include system identification, fault detection and diagnosis, and control.
Lidia Auret
EditorDr Lidia Auret is a process engineering and data science specialist with extensive research experience in process monitoring, fault diagnosis and machine learning. Her work focuses on applying data-driven methods to improve the monitoring, control and optimisation of complex industrial processes, particularly in mineral processing. She has contributed extensively to academic research and industry collaboration.
