Delft can be easily reached from Schiphol Airport<\/strong> or Rotterdam The Hague Airport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Schiphol Airport<\/strong>, there are several train connections per hour to Delft. Some trains are direct, while others require a change, for example in Leiden. Please check www.ns.nl<\/strong><\/a> for the most up-to-date journey planner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Rotterdam The Hague Airport<\/strong>, you can take public transport toward Rotterdam and then continue by train to Delft. The easiest option is to plan the full journey via www.9292.nl<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Public transport<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rotterdam and Amsterdam are served by international high-speed train connections to Brussels, Paris, and several German cities. From Rotterdam or Amsterdam, you can take a regular train to Delft. Use www.ns.nl<\/strong><\/a> to plan your train journey within the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We encourage everyone to use public transport to Delft. From Delft\u2019s main station, Delft Centraal<\/strong>, you can take a taxi, rent an OV-fiets<\/strong>, or take a bus to the Aula Congress Centre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several buses connect Delft Centraal with the TU Delft campus and the TU Aula<\/strong> stop. Since routes, stops, and departure times may change due to construction work or public transport diversions, please check www.9292.nl<\/strong><\/a> shortly before departure for the exact route and schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TU Delft Aula Congress Centre<\/strong> is easily accessible by car via the A13<\/strong>, using the exits Delft\/Pijnacker<\/strong>or Delft Zuid\/TU-wijk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explore Delft<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Delft is famous for its rich history, its connection with the Dutch Royal Family, the painter Johannes Vermeer<\/strong>, and the world-famous Delft Blue<\/strong> ceramics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Delft is a relatively small city, it has played an important role in Dutch history. The city developed around the 10th century and became an important centre of trade after the canal connection to the River Meuse was created. Later, Delft became internationally known for its blue-and-white ceramics, inspired by porcelain from Asia but developed into a unique Dutch tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
