This is awarded for the best NMPC paper of which the first and presenting author is the main contributor of the research results in the paper, and where the candidate has the Student status at the time of paper submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:14px\">Nominations are solicited after the final submission of papers is closed. Nominations are made by colleagues of the young author (no self-nominations). Nominations are done using the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/ifac.papercept.net\/conferences\/scripts\/start.pl\" target=\"_blank\">IFAC Submission Management System<\/a>. The IFAC Young Author Award Selection Committee shall determine a short list of finalists, based on the gathered reviews and on their own reading of the paper. The support consists of waiving the registration fees. Eligible for support are authors of accepted technical papers \u2013 citizens of a developing country\/region not affiliated to or supported by an institution in a high-income country\/region \u2013 whose age will be less than 30 years during the conference. Only one author per paper can be supported. A limited number of applications will be supported. A developing country\/region is understood to be one which is not on the list of <a href=\"https:\/\/datahelpdesk.worldbank.org\/knowledgebase\/articles\/906519#High_income\" title=\"\">high-income economies<\/a> (as of 2026, high-income economies have a GNI per capita of $13,935 or more). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications should be addressed to the conference organizer by eligible authors by completing the <a href=\"https:\/\/conferences.ifac-control.org\/nmpc2027\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2026\/10\/DC_YAS_Application_Form.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"\">application form<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A presentation of the paper at the conference by the winner is a requisite for support. Award recipients must write a short report (a few lines) about their work, paper title, and stating what the attendance meant to them, and what they learnt. The authors take responsibility for the material that has been submitted.
