and &#8220;Open Invited Track Regular Contributions&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><br>You can still submit either a Regular Contribution or an Open Invited Track Regular Contribution during the late sub window. Please note that submissions in the late sub window are final. This means that once submitted, your paper cannot be modified on the platform, even if the deadline has not yet passed, as these submissions go directly into the review process.<br>Additionally, please be aware that acceptance notifications for late window submissions are sent only after the review process is completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-ast-global-color-8-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Regular Contributions<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Regular contributions will be selected based on their originality, technical soundness, quality of written exposition, and relevance to SENSYS topics. Initial submissions are at least 4 pages long and most 8 pages long, with a strict 6-page limit for final manuscripts to be included in the workshop proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proceedings are published online in partnership with Elsevier in the open-access journal IFAC-PapersOnLine. Each paper is uniquely identified by a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), the current standard for electronic paper citation. IFAC-PapersOnLine is indexed by <strong>Scopus<\/strong>, the <strong>Web of Science (WoS)<\/strong>, and <strong>Google Scholar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-42efeecab2a126ce6ea258f4e0253bc7\"><strong>Presentations are in oral sessions during the conference in a 20-minute format, including questions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-ast-global-color-8-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong><strong>Discussion Contributions<\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Discussion Contributions are for bringing forward specific topics within the scope of SENSYS, especially for participants from the industry, as well as government and education sectors. It may also be an opportunity to discuss ongoing research. Submissions are in the form of an extended abstract of at most 4 pages. Discussion Contributions have a late submission deadline and will go through a fast review process based on relevance to the audience at SENSYS. Presentations of Discussion Contribution may be either in oral sessions or in interactive sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-bdaf3db0d33c467dd9843bff4db85e47\"><strong>Extended abstracts will NOT be included in the IFAC-PapersOnLine proceedings but only in the preprints.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-ast-global-color-8-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong><strong><strong>Dissemination Contributions<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Dissemination Contributions provide opportunities to authors whose papers have been recently accepted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifac-control.org\/publications\/journals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IFAC Journals<\/a> to showcase their results to a broader audience at an IFAC Conference. Submissions shall provide the pdf of the paper as it is accepted in the journal, together with a copy of the journal acceptance letter. Presentations of Dissemination Contributions shall be in oral sessions in a 20-minute format, including questions. The titles and abstracts will be included in the preprints, but they will NOT be included in the IFAC-PapersOnLine proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-ast-global-color-8-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong><strong><strong><strong>Open Invited Track Proposal, Open Invited Track Regular Contributions &amp; Open Invited Track Discussion Contributions<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:14px\">Open invited tracks focus on specific research topics and are to be proposed by track organizers. The proposals are listed on the conference <a href=\"#open-invited-tracks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>, and anyone can submit contributions for such tracks as long as the content of the contribution is adapted to the track topics. There is no limitation on the number of contributions per track. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:14px\">Open Invited Track <strong>Regular <\/strong>Contributions are reviewed following the same rules as Regular Contributions, and the Papers are published in the IFAC-PapersOnLine proceedings with a 6-page limit. Open Invited Track <strong>Discussion <\/strong>Contributions are submitted in the form of an extended abstract of at most 4 pages. This is awarded the best SENSYS paper, for which the presenting author is the main contributor to the research results. The candidate must be less than 30 years old at the time of the event (motivated exemptions on the age criterion to deal with gender and cultural differences to allow for a fair competition are allowed). <br><br>Nominations are solicited after the final submission of papers is closed. Nominations are made by colleagues of the young author (no self-nominations). Nominations are done using the IFAC Submission Management System. The IFAC Young Author Award Selection Committee shall determine a short list of finalists, based on the gathered reviews and their own reading of the paper.
