The International Program Committee encourages proposals for invited sessions comprising six invited papers on a well-defined topic of current interest. Each invited session should offer a cohesive and comprehensive exploration of a subject that aligns with the scope of the symposium.

Organizers of invited sessions should perform the following steps:

1. Contact potential authors to obtain a list of authors, paper titles and abstracts
2. Write a four page session proposal. This should describe the theme and content, demonstrate its coherence, and argue its significance and relevance. The proposed session should profile 6 specified papers. At a minimum, the proposal should contain the following information:
   • The title of the session
   • The name and full contact details of the session organizer
   • A description of the session theme and an argument supporting its significance
   • A list of the proposed session contributions, including titles, authors, and corresponding author of each paper
   • The abstract of each paper
3. Generate a PDF
4. Submit your proposal through the IFAC Submission Management System. As part of this process, you will be provided with an invited session code.
5. Pass the invited session code to the corresponding author of each paper in the session. Authors will need to specify this number when submitting their papers.

Submission period: June 1 – October 1, 2026

Open invited track sessions have no limit on the number of papers, and the organizers are responsible for attracting contributors. Proposals for open invited track sessions will be advertised on the SYSID2027 website, and submissions are open to all authors.
The proposals should be concise with the limit of 6 pages in PDF format. There is no specific template but the proposal is expected to include the following items:

1. Title of the open invited track session
2. Abstract
3. Detailed description of the topic
4. Information of the organizers
5. Link to a web page to further describe the track (optional but recommended)

Organizers are encouraged to submit their proposals as early as possible before the deadline.
Upon submission, the IPC Chairs will assess the proposal to ensure its relevance to the scope of SYSID2027 and verify that the proposed topic is neither too broad nor already covered by previously submitted tracks.
A list of approved open invited tracks will be provided on the SYSID2027 website. This list will also mention, for each track, the particular track code that will be needed when authors will submit a paper to this particular track.
It is important to note that, beyond putting all accepted open invited tracks on its web site, SYSID2027 will not promote these tracks. It is thus the responsibility of the track organizers to actively promote their open invited track and to attract sufficient submissions.

Submission of Open Invited Tracks proposals should be made using the IFAC Submission Management System.

We are soliciting proposals for tutorials to be held during SYSID2027. A tutorial session will be given 2 hours like other technical sessions.
Organizers are invited to prepare and submit proposals with a clear focus on new and emerging topics within the general scope of system identification. The purpose of the tutorial sessions is to deliver a comprehensive knowledge in a specific topic to symposium attendees. The characteristics of the tutorial sessions could be broad from applications of system identification to in-depth theory. The presentations will be delivered by experts in academia, laboratories, and industry.
The tutorial proposals should be concise with the limit of 6 pages in PDF format. There is no specific template but the proposal is expected to include the following items:

1. Title of the tutorial
2. Organizers: Please provide the name, affiliation, address, email address for each organizer, and indicate which organizer is the main contact.
3. Outline of the tutorial: topics, objectives and description
4. Description of the intended audience and the expected outcomes
5. Desired prerequisite knowledge of the audience
6. Brief biographies of the confirmed speakers

Additional points:

• The tutorial proposals should include a statement addressing why the proposed tutorial is important and timely, how it is relevant to SYSID2027 and, why the speakers are qualified for a high-quality introduction of the topic.
• If a related tutorial was given before, describe when and where it was given and how it will be updated for SYSID2027. If possible, provide a link to slides of the previous presentation.
• The speakers of the tutorial are encouraged to submit papers summarizing their tutorial presentations (see “tutorial papers” below).

Anyone who registered for the conference can attend the tutorial sessions; so there is no profit-sharing with organizers.
