This event is the inauguration of the 2024 celebration event series of 30th Anniversary of the IEEE Control Systems Control (CSS) Standing Committee on Women in Control (WIC), founded in 1994 with Bozenna Pasik-Duncan, Professor of Mathematics being its Chair and co-Founder 6 years earlier of Women in Control Group while bridging IEEE CSS with International Federation of Automatic (IFAC), Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), American Mathematical Society (AMS) and Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM). Bozenna was the Chair of IEEE CSS, IFAC and American Automatic Control Council (AACC) Technical Committees on Control Education and the Chair of IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE), 2017-2018.
With her passion and enthusiasm for STEM education and technology for humanity she have mobilized successfully women and engaged them in the outreach program with its purpose to attract Middle and High School students in particular girls to STEM ++ education. After 30 years of collective and collaborative efforts of so many Women in Control is one of the most successful in making a difference for the better for women group of professional leaders. The TECIS2024 provides the best platform to start this celebration of Women in Control as we all believe and agree that happiness can be found in celebrating others.
