Instructions for speakers
Thank you for being a part of our upcoming conference! Your contribution as a speaker is invaluable, and we want to ensure that you have a seamless and successful experience. Please review the following instructions to help you prepare for your speaking engagement:
1. Presentation Preparation:
- Content: Ensure that your presentation aligns with the conference theme and the topic you were assigned. Please submit your final presentation materials by [deadline] to our conference organizers via [submission method].
- Format: Preferred formats for presentations are PowerPoint (PPT) or PDF. If you have any special requirements or need specific equipment for your presentation, please let us know in advance.
2. Timing:
- Be mindful of your allocated speaking time, including time for questions and discussions. Overrunning can disrupt the conference schedule.
3. Rehearsal:
- Practice your presentation to ensure that it fits within the allocated time frame and flows smoothly. A well-rehearsed talk is more engaging and effective.
4. Audiovisual Equipment:
- Familiarise yourself with the audiovisual setup at the conference venue. Test your presentation on the provided equipment well in advance to avoid technical issues during your talk.
Social Program
One of the highlights of our upcoming conference is the exciting and engaging social program we have planned for you. We understand that networking and building connections are an integral part of any conference experience, and that’s why we’ve put together a diverse and entertaining social program.
Day 1: Wednesday 29th May,2024: Welcome reception in the Ardmore Room of the Tower Hotel, Waterford from 18:30
Day 2: Thursday 30th May, 2024: TECIS2024 Banquet in the Granville Hotel, Waterford with traditional Irish music provided by South East Technological University music students one of which is Kayla Kissane and the other Niamh Lacey.
Day 3: Lunch followed by cultural visit.
A shuttle bus is provided courtesy of the university from the city centre to the University. Stops: Morning Granville Hotel, Tower Hotel and Manor village to SETU Bianconi/O’Connell building 8 to 9 a.m (2 shuttles) Evening: Wednesday and Thursday 5:30 to 6:30 pm (2 shuttles).
