Introduction

The IFAC HMS 2025 encompasses a broad scope within the field of human-machine systems. It includes but is not limitedto areas of human ergonomics and brain-machine interfaces, robotics, embodied artificial intelligence, human-Alinteraction, human-automation interaction,human-systems integration, intelligent human-machine interfaces, and human operatorsupport. Accepted papers will be published in the IFAC-PapersOnLline series, indexed by Elsevier/EI (https//sciencedirect.com). Call For Special Sessions will be released soon.

The objective of the symposium is to serve as a premier international platform for the dissemination and discussion of the latest scientific and technological advancements in human-machine systems. By facilitating knowledge exchange, the event aims to foster collaboration, inspire innovative thinking, and promote synergies among researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals. Furthermore, it seeks to address contemporary challenges and contribute to the continual advancement of human-machine systems.

The symposium features a diverse range of presentation formats. These include keynote addresses by prominent experts, paper presentations, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and poster sessions. The symposium encourages both theoretical and applied contributions, practical insights, and real-world case studies. Additionally, it provides opportunities for networking, mentorship, and fostering collaborations through organized social events and informal gatherings.

Having evolved over a series of iterations, the symposium has consistently adapted to the evolving landscape of human-machine systems research and attempts to expand the breadth and depth of topics covered, reflecting the growing interdisciplinary nature of the field. The symposium will provide online platforms for virtual participation options and has evolved to promote inclusivity, diversity, and equity, striving to provide an open and welcoming environment for researchers from various backgrounds and perspectives.
