The Best Paper Award recognizes the most outstanding paper presented at the IFAC HMS 2025. This award is open to all authors, with no age restrictions, and will be granted to the paper that demonstrates exceptional quality in both research and presentation. The prize includes a monetary award of 500 EUR and a certificate, which will be presented during the closing ceremony of the Symposium.
Nominations:
All papers presented at IFAC HMS 2025 will automatically be considered for the Best Paper Award. No separate nomination process is required.
Selection Process:
The IFAC HMS 2025 Best Paper Award Selection Committee will evaluate each paper based on its originality, technical depth, and clarity of presentation. The committee will also consider the quality of the oral presentation during the Symposium. The winner will be determined at the time of the Symposium, based on both the written paper and the oral presentation.

IFAC HMS 2025 Best Paper Award (Updated on November 19, 2025)
After careful consideration and due to a higher-than-expected number of exceptionally strong submissions this year, the NOC has decided to recognize outstanding contributions more broadly. The IFAC HMS 2025 Best Paper Award will therefore be conferred to three equally ranked papers selected by the Award Committee. The total prize of 500 EUR will be equally shared among the three winning papers (approximately 166.67 EUR per paper). Each winning paper will also receive an official certificate. The awards will be presented to all winning authors (or their representatives) during the closing ceremony of the Symposium.
